Her phoenix has come again here to die

She is here again
Autumn is her name

Her death gives peace to those who lay
When her sister comes our way
To unchain the heavy door
The ground will once again
Flourish from the ashes Autumn bore

The rain was a surprise
12 months later I look again at the skies
The overwhelming feeling of overcast
Burns a hole just like it has in the past
She is here again
Autumn is her name
Some of us don’t understand
Her tears are made of rain
When they fall to the ground
They make a special sound
Which acts as a call
To all the leaves to fall
So when her mother comes back home
Everyone will know
The sacrifice of Fall made the world whole

Dancing ‘round the Sun
Collecting colors in our eyes
So that we at the end
Become a ray of white

And now the leaves will fall
Opening a door to Winter’s storm
She will hover over us
Leaving snowflakes as her steps

They will turn to drops
Seeping into the ground
And make a silent call
For Spring to come around

She will sprout new life - smile
Letting the Sun rays in
And her tears of joy
Will be the water we’re craving

Summer will arrive
All of the life
Will once more thrive
Just happy to be alive
